Privacy, in plain words

What we keep
For each guest: the first name they typed or the host entered, their answer (coming or not, how many), their vote, and who invited them through a friend link. A phone number or email only if the guest asked for reminders.
Videos and clips
A host's event video (picture only, never sound) is stored in private storage and shown behind the event's films to people holding the event's link. Where an event offers guest clips, a guest's clip is stored the same way; the host sees it first, and other guests of the same event see it only after the host approves it. We do not run face recognition, we do not use clips for advertising, and we do not use them to train AI models. You can delete your clip at any time.
What we never do
We do not text or message anyone. Invitations leave from the host's own phone. We do not sell data, run ad pixels, or build profiles across events. Invitation films are made on the guest's own phone.
How long
Everything about an event, clips included, is deleted automatically 90 days after the event date. A guest can remove themselves at any time from their personal page, which deletes their name, answers, votes and clips at once.
Who sees what
Guests see only their own page and the approved event film. Vote results appear only after at least five votes, as percentages. The host sees the guest list, answers, who came through whom, and any clips sent for approval. The venue screen shows a guest's first name only if the guest ticked that box and said they are coming.
Service providers
Vercel (hosting and private file storage) and Neon (database) process data for us to run Starvite. Stripe processes an organizer's payment and billing details when they buy a plan; guests' data never goes to Stripe. For companies, our Data Processing Agreement applies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at info@shoetracker.ai, and you can complain to your data protection authority.
Age
Starvite is for guests 18 and over.
